We are a group of undergraduate students who, through research, use of print and electronic media, and collaboration with professional liaisons, strive to educate and empower students and professionals alike in promoting better health outcomes.

Tanning: Chris explores the risks and hazards that are associated with indoor tanning.

Electronic Records: Stephanie writes an engaging article about electronic medical records. She takes a look at the future and how we can improve the organization of electronic files.

Drug Distribution: Malgorzata tackles the distribution of drugs in urban/suburban areas.  We not only look at the policy issues, but the issues on social and public health.

Natural Disaster Preparedness: How prepared are you for a Natural Disaster?   A fascinating article by Anjani explores how Public Health is closely tied to these unfortunate disasters.

Industrial Site Recovery Act: Samantha delves into the hazards associated with working in chemically contaminated sites. This article is a must read for anyone interested in any labor heavy industry.

Social Media in Risk Communication: Katherine takes us through the social and media implications of public health preparedness.

Surge Capacity: Fadila gives an interesting look into the accommodation of our health care system. Are we prepared to deal with large scale situations?

Hookah: Nikhil discovers the four aspects of hookah use in modern times; political, cultural, sociological, and biological.

The Cost of Care: Hema researches the costs associated with care including; treating chronic illnesses, how to better addresses  health problems, and the use/role of technology.


Meet The MoRPH Team                                   

The MoRPH Team is divided into three groups:

The Research Team: Compiled analytic data and research to present an in-depth lens into various topics of interest. These students also worked with Public Health liaisons to provide us with an overview of the different activities public health organizations in New Jersey engage in.

The Newsletter Team: Compiled the articles developed by the research team and added opinion pieces of their own to develop an in-print newsletter.

The Web Team: Streamlined the content of the research and newsletter teams to present in an online web page format
